Down with the brown, Easter & How I'm surving The Storm of the Century (so far)

so this weekend, Bryan and I went to his mom's yesterday morning (after some badass Waffle House. can I get a hell yeah?) to get our hair done and I went through a hair transformation.

WHOA, BROWN HAIR? WHO AM I?

no really, I've been blonde off and on and usually stick to red so I'm back to what's considered my natural color. this is so weird. so. weird.

we also went to the Dublin Dr. Pepper Bottling Factory for a paper & then we sat around during Storm of the Century, pt. 1 in which I cried because there was a tornado near my house and I wasn't there to be freaked out with my family and drank a whole bottle of wine but didn't get drunk at all. and now it's Storm of the Century pt. 2 (possibly) and I already moved my car in Bryan's garage so I ain't going nowhere. plus it's trying to flood/hail and I'm trying not to throw up out of nerves and beerin' it up and trying to do math homework without crying.

oh and we also went to the Ft. Worth Zoo for another paper/so I could see the fake dinosaurs and almost scream/barf in the reptile house (I hate snakes. I'm just like Indiana Jones!) now if you excuse me, I'm gonna stress eat a chocolate bunny.

hope y'all had a good weekend/Easter!

Happy New Year, y'all!

woo, another year to tackle and hopefully not fuck up like I did last year. I had to work NYE but only until 4:30-ish, so I headed over to QuikTrip and bought 3 cans of Jeremiah Weed which I don't recommend at all (except maybe, maybe Spiked Cola) and went to Bryan's. our NYE wasn't very exciting, unless you call going to CiCi's Pizza while I'm slightly drunk fun (which I do because Adventure Time was on). then we went home, watched more Adventure Time, opened champagne and went to bed before midnight. plus I had some really funky dreams, but we won't go into that. the 1st was mine and Bryan's 3 year anniversary, which is really easy to remember and I'm thankful for that. we went furniture and regular shopping, all which made me really cranky because I don't do too well in crowds especially in a mall with probably 300+ people getting in my way. I also didn't buy anything except ~necessities~ at Target. oh yeah, and Bryan spontaneously bought the couch and a recliner. if that's not the best anniversary gift, then I don't know what is.

but now that it's a ~new year~, I have new resolutions that I will stick to. I plan on making 2011 the year I grow up, get in shape, be more creative and actually learn to do things, like cook and save money better (typing this as I'm thinking about buying a new phone case). I feel good about this year. I can make this year mine and I will. oh believe me, I will. I'm going to do all the things I should've done the past couple years. I'm gonna actually make myself happy or die trying (jk, no dying involved).

I'll leave you with this

p.s. another resolution is to become a much better, less awkward blogger. hopefully.

WAITING...to weed out the weaklings

I told myself I would actually start using this, so I will. right now, I'm caught in the middle of the hellstorm known as ~finals week~. which sucks because then I realize exactly how behind I am and then want to crawl under my sheets and hibernate until forever. I hate finals week. why, other than the obvious? because I slack off something terrible and get frustrated/forgetful easily. oh yeah, and I have a math class I need to desperately pass so I don't have to take it for the five millionth time (I'm smart okay). plus I'm ready for it to be christmas, which reminds me I need to get pictures of my ceramics stuff before I get it all wrapped up as presents. I'm just happy I can talk about what my present plans are because a certain stinky boyfriend (hopefully) doesn't read this (even though I swear it popped up in his address bar once....I'm on to you, mister...)

SPEAKING OF AMAZING BOYFRIEND: 2 sundays ago we went and saw Pink Floyd but really Roger Water's THE WALL. words cannot even begin to describe how amazing it was. Bryan got us tickets for my birthday and a week before the show, we kept looking at live videos from the tour and I kept saying how I didn't want to be disappointed because Roger Water's was just walking around singing on the mic/not playing the bass and bitching about how ~sew selfish~ he was to spread The Wall everywhere (FUN FACT: he can because it's his and it's/he's beautiful and I will never say a bad thing about him again). BUT REALLY, dude came up with the whole concept himself since he was feeling isolated from the audience and hated playing arenas. anyways, everything was a m a z i n g. I get teary eyed just thinking about it and I actually did cry twice during it, but for different reasons (they kept showing WE MISS YOU FALLEN VETERAN shit and I thought of my grandfather and it killed me). the only really shitty thing is according to wikipedia, Roger Water's said this could be his last tour but it's awesome because then that means we were part of music history. kinda.

LOOK AT HOW AMAZING THIS IS THOUGH (courtesy of Bryan himself)

(not Bryan's but still amazing)

if you listen closely, you can hear yours truly singing/talking/see fist pumping/screams of absolute joy and some douche bag telling the metal heads to sit down. no, you sit down.
so, now I'm basically in love with Roger Water's because of all that talent/being an attractive old man. I'm already planning my The Wall related tattoo as we speak. not even kidding.

which reminds me that I have to finish the best thing I've ever drawn so far, which will remain secret until Christmas (just in case Bryan does actually look at this) unless you've seen it on staysassy...

I HAVE A FEVER

AND THIS JOKE IS REALLY PLAYED OUT, BUT THE ONLY PRESCRIPTION IS...CORGIS. my love for these short ass little dogs started when I was big on anime, specifically Cowboy Beebop (which is really awesome btw) and they had a dog named Ein:

look at this large tub of love

well, this weekend I decided I'd do what I do best: look at puppy videos on youtube until my face probably melts. I did my normal "BABE WHEN DO I GET ONE?!" routine with Bryan and he got very flustered and said "I DON'T KNOW, NEXT YEAR MAYBE?!' which got my heart a-flutterin'. seriously, these things are the cutest ever which you probably already know by now. don't get me wrong, I love pretty much all dogs. small, big, etc etc. but these feel more like me. they're short, I'm short. they're husky, I'm husky. they're insanely cute, I'm just kinda cute.

I mean, look at this little dude in his life vest

I WANT A DOG WHO WEARS A LIFE VEST AND CAN'T BEND IT'S KNEES WHEN IT JUMPS. I REALLY DO. I CAN HANDLE THIS. they're the perfect dog for me. knowing me, I'll go read/watch everything about them (Bryan and I already did this with pugs and bulldogs. we like 'em squatty) just so I know that's the dog for me.

like, did you know they're farm dogs? FARM DOGS. I could get an art farm and have it wrangle people in. and they're very smart and attentive. PERFECT. they're like, the easiest dog to own.

I'm basically shaking with happiness. I will one day get my short legged baby if it kills me. KILLS ME.
