Happy Mother's Day to the best mother possible!

We may fight and get shitty with each other, but I couldn't ask for a better person to have come from! I love you mama (who won't see this)!

a little bit o' this, a little bit o' that pt. 2

this whole week has been freakin' crazy. I finally feel like I got caught up in my classes and even though it's now ~sPrInG bReAk 2k11~ all I can feel is "what spring break because I'll be working and doing school work". exciting life, let me tell you what.

yesterday was my Aunt Pat's memorial and it was just so amazing, which probably isn't the best thing to say about a funeral but as my cousin Jake said, "we put the fun in funerals!" there were plenty of tears and laughter, and my dad did so great delivering my Aunt Michelle's speech for her and it killed me because I know how hard it had to be on him, considering this was like his second mother. but Aunt Pat would've been so proud of her Little Guy. :') we spent all day in the car pretty much, had road beers and shot the shit the whole way back. I really couldn't ask for a better family, even if they are slightly off and annoying sometimes. I honestly love them.

oh, and I spent about $100+ today at Old Navy and Cato's. so worth it though. I've actually spent so much in the past couple of days and I don't even care. tomorrow I'm (hopefully) going to start doing the 30 Day Shred again (do that every other day and do pilates on the days I don't) so I can get rid of my gross ass gut and actually have the self-confidence I need. and I'm really excited about tomorrow because my sister Sarah and I are going to see this for my cultural diversity class (but really, for us to drool and cry)

there will probably be tears.

it's getting better all the time

I've been kinda stressed lately. there's so much just bothering me. I've been having an on-going battle with my school since the first day I started going there, what with them taking the money I paid them and then saying I never paid and now there was a $900 charge from when they dropped and reinstated me, which they dropped for me. only to drop my spring '11 classes because they made the deadline at noon. who the fuck makes a deadline at noon? anyways, finally got that straightened out only to have them not even have my statement up. I just got it paid, so hopefully I got mom's bank shit right.

and now I'm the only file clerk at my dealership. apparently the girl they hired after me just stopped coming/said she was sick and no one heard from her after that. so that's fun. they've had me up at the Dodge building to help straighten up their filing room so my office down in the Mazda building can get behind, as if I already wasn't because that's why I was hired. and I work every day and every other Saturday now, which doesn't bother me because it means more money but it also means so much more work. I almost like being at the Dodge building more because I know most of the people up there and they actually talk to me instead of staring at me through my office window (it looks out into the shop, it's not like people are just creepin' around). I just feel like I could get burnt out with working and going to school, something I've never done at the same time. I've also been told I need to save up $500 to fix my tire rods/struts. with all the money we've spent on my car, we could've easily bought me a new car. things would be easier if my aunt had actually asked her son if he still had the suspension for my car but whatever, I need to let go of that.

I'm just really glad that Bryan and I are going to his mom's this weekend. there may not be anything to do down there since it's a little shit hole hick town that's only known for it's dairy and college, but it's nice to get away from everything every once in a while. plus we're getting our hair done which is overdue for the both of us. mainly because 3 months after I got mine done last, I still hate because it reminds me of mom hair and I'm not a mom hair person.

I also ordered the boots I've been dying over and Kirby's Epic Yarn, but that can wait for another time because I'll probably make a ~lol look at what I bought with my real grown up money~ post because I'm gonna go to Ulta sometime soon. oh me and my consumer, money wasting ways.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth (no really)

The other day I was thinking about fun memories and then it hit me: holy shit, this Christmas will be the 10 year anniversary of me falling off a push scooter and busting my face. In Florida. Probably hundreds or thousands of miles away from my home state. Florida.

You see, that Christmas my family went down to Tampa Bay, FL to have Christmas with my Uncle and his then wife. we also drove for 18 hours but that's not the point, I just hated that. going under the tunnel under water was cool though. Anyways, Florida was weird. it was December but it was 80 degrees. I only wanted to go because I heard we might go to Disneyworld. So Christmas day comes and my little cousin got one of those Razor scooters because it was 2000 and that was the fad then. yep, one of these

fuck. you.

well, I wanted a try on it. everything was going smoothly. it felt like I was flying! I was the King of the World! and then I saw a rock, swerved and went down. hard. my cousin's rushed towards me and we can see is that my hands are really cut up. and then I lifted my face up and saw that a good chunk of my front tooth was laying on the ground. I started touching my face only to feel nothing but pain. my former aunt's brothers were with us and they ran towards me and had me open my mouth so one of them could see if there was any really bad damage. there was. not only had I broke my tooth, I broke it so severely that my fucking root was hanging out.

just like that.

breathing through my mouth hurt, drinking hurt, eating hurt, and crying hurt too. and I remember not crying until I saw my dad who just started laughing because 1) my face was bleeding and 2) I kept screaming that I ruined Christmas and then made me call my grandparents to tell them about it. so my mom made the plan that the next day, we'd leave the next morning so she could make me an appointment with my dentist. and then we were begged by my former aunt to go to the aquarium with them.

guess which one happened (hint: not the smart idea). they kept getting mad at me because I didn't want to be there, much less take family pictures. at one point we went to eat and across the street from the restaurant was a hockey rink, which my mom told me that if I was a little boy I could just tell people that I got hit in the mouth with a hockey puck. thanks, mom.

so after 10 years, I still stay away from push scooters and Florida. I've only chipped my bonding once after that right before prom, but that should've been a sign (that's a different story for a different time). and after 10 years, my dad still asks me if I want my two front teeth for Christmas. which I actually don't because now it makes for a good story (like all my stories, right? right?)
